This rare trade ticket was issued just before the Crash of 1929 by W.S. Mills & Co on the Chicago Stock Exchange. In 1938, W.S. Mills was suspended from the Chicago Stock Exchange for 1 year for transactions in Backstay Welt Company stock.

The Chicago Stock Exchange was formed in 1882 until it merged with several other exchanges in 1949 to form the Midwest Stock Exchange. They are now known as NYSE Chicago.
