Description Extended Information

These Walt Disney WWII war bond certificates were issued to purchasers of WWII savings bonds in the 1940s to help raise money for the war by the United States Treasury. Bordered by all the familiar Disney Characters from Mickey Mouse to Goofy and the Seven Dwarves. Each certificate has a watermark from the printer when held up to the light.

This rare certificate was issued and signed by the Chairman of the Women's Division of the Indiana War Finance Committee. Certificates from any of the Women's Divisions are quite rare. It is also signed by the Chairman of the St. Joseph County War Finance Committee. It was issued to Harry Zeiger from Mom and Dad in 1944.

These certificates were only printed by two printers; the U.S. Government Printing Office and the Homer H. Boelter Printing Company. This one was printed by the Homer H. Boelter Printing Co and features their water mark when held to the light.

Condition: As pictured. Light folds/Crease and faint wrinkles.

There are a ton of fake Walt Disney War Bond certificates out there. Do you know how to spot a fake? Each will have a watermark which will differ between printers. For instance, those printed by U.S. Government Printing Office will have an eagle for a watermark. Also, if you look at Donald Duck's eyes with a magnifying glass, the blue of his eyes will be little blue dots. If its solid blue, it's a photocopy.
