Description

This Membership Card was issued by the American Stock Exchange Floor Clerks Association in 1971. The back of the card served to keep track of the membership dues owed by the member. Rare piece.

The New York Curb Exchange was established in the early 1900s. It got it's name because brokers actually traded on the "curb" outside the New York Stock Exchange. It's name became formalized as the New York Curb Exchange in 1929 and eventually was renamed the American Stock Exchange in 1953. The American Stock Exchange, once a competitor of the NYSE and the third largest U.S. stock exchange, was purchased by NYSE Euronext in 2008.

This one-of-a-kind membership card is presented in a gorgeous high quality acrylic display that weights almost 13 oz. Magnetically held together, the display is easy to open if want to inspect your item. Perfect for a desktop or bookshelf display.
