This rare stock certificate from the Alaska United Gold Mining Company is from 1895 and is hand signed by the company president. They operated mines on Douglas Island, Treadwell, Alaska. The Alaska United Gold Mining Company was controlled by the Treadwell Company who also controlled Alaska Treadwell Gold Mining Co and Alaska Mexican Gold Mining Co. A red six pence stamp is on the top of the certificate indicating it was sold in Great Britain.
