This Calumet and Arizona Mining Company Stock Certificate was issued in 1922 and is hand signed. The Calumet & Arizona Mining Company was founded in 1901 and originally consisted of 10 mining claims near the Copper Queen Mine outside of Bisbee, Arizona. They opened one of the largest copper smelting plants in Arizona and became one of the largest mining operations after they absorbed several other mining companies in the early 1900s.

The developed the Warren townsite outside of Bisbee as Bisbee became overcrowded. They would merge with Phelps-Dodge in 1931.
