This rare Gardner-Sarra, Inc. stock certificate was issued in 1929 and is signed by president and founder Carlton R. Gardner. It is low number certificate #52 issued to W.P. Scott. Incorporated in California August 5, 1927.

Gardner-Sarra was founded by Carlton R Gardner and Tullio Sarra in 1927 with officers that comprised of some of the "most prominent men in lawn tennis on the Pacific Coast". They built a 10,000 square foot factory in Oakland, CA which produced Tennis Gut (the strings on the tennis racket). Sarra was a 3rd generation tennis gut maker and Gardner over the distribution.
