This stunning and high quality desk set was given by Gruntal & Co to their 1993 Executive Council. The box is a solid hand-crafted walnut display box which contains a set of German, gold plated letter opener and scissors. Very high-end gift. The top of the box is engraved: Gruntal & Co / Incorporated Established 1880 / Memeber New York Stock Exchange / 1993 Executive Council.

Gruntal & Co is an investment banking and brokerage house founded in 1880 and was one of the oldest investment banking house in the United States. They bought their seat on the NYSE in 1881. Gruntal & Co was acquired in 2002 by another investment banking firm, Ryan Beck & Co and the their name was soon retired. Ryan Beck was sold to Stifel in 2007.
