This Homestake Mining Company stock certificate was issued in 1930 and features a fantastic Native American Vignette. Incorporated in California in 1877. The Homestake Mining Company was founded in 1877 when they struck gold at the Homestake Mine near Bobtail Gulch in South Dakota in the Black Hills. In 1879 they became the first mining company ever to be listed in the New York Stock Exchange and it grew to be the largest gold in the U.S.

The acquired Barrick Gold in 2001.
