This L. Hart & Sons Co., Inc. stock certificate was issued in 1951 and is hand signed by the company president.  Leopold Hart opened Hart's Department Stores in San Jose, California in 1866.  Their logo features a "H" inside a heart shape.  Hart's closed in 1968 but dog park in Silicon Valley is named after Hart's and includes a sign with their heart-shaped logo. Scarce stock certificate.
