This Loew's Theatres, Inc. Stock Certificate was issued in 1969. Loew's Theatres was founded by Marcus Loew in Ohio. They expanded coast to coast, including Boston. He would go on to found Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) in 1924 through the merger of the three companies until he was forced to separate his distribution arm by the Supreme Court in 1959. His resulting distribution company would form Loew's Corporation. Over the years to several mergers and names changes, Loew's Cineplex was purchased by AMC Theatres in 2005.
