This scarce Mobil Oil Corp Stock Certificate was issued in 1966 and features their famous Pegasus mascot. Their red wing horse can be found all over the world. This mascot dates back to the 1930s. Pre-Exxon merger.

Mobil dates its history back to 1870 as a direct descendant of the Standard Oil Monopoly of John D. Rockefeller. They were previously known as the Standard Oil Company of New York or Socony after the breakup of Standard Oil in 1911. They merged with the Vacuum Oil Company in the '30s where the name Mobil was originated. In 1963 they officially became Mobil Corporation. Mobil merged with Exxon in 1999 and is now the larges oil and gas company in the world.
