This Morton-Norwich Products, Inc. Stock Certificate was issued in 1974. Their history dates back to the 1880s with humble beginnings as the L.F. Moore Company named after its Baptist Minister founder.  His partner took over in 1886 as The Norwich Pharmacal Company in 1887.  He purchased "Mixed Cholera Infantum" from a doctor that was supposed to treat diarrhea cholera in children.  Adults found it relieved indigestion and diarrhea and they renamed the formula "Bismolsal" in 1918 and a year later it became "Pepto-Bismol".  They merged with Morton in 1969 to form Morton-Norwich Products, Inc.  They are now a subsidiary of Procter & Gamble.
