This NCR Corporation Stock Certificate was issued in 1998. National Cash Register was founded in 1884 and made the first mechanical cash registers.  They developed an electronics division in the 1950s after the purchase of Computer Research Corp.  They changed their name to NCR Corporation in 1974. They were acquired by AT&T in 1991 to become AT&T Global Information Solutions and were spun off in 1996.
