This commemorative NYSE Group medallion was only given out on the NYSE floor to employees and partners to commemorate the first time in 213 years the NYSE rang the bell as a publicly traded company. The New York Stock Exchange merged with rival Archipelago to form the NYSE group in 2005. They then listed on the NYSE in 2006.

The coin reads NYSE Group on the front with the New York Stock Exchange building draped with the American Flag. The back of the coin reads NYX Listed NYSE and the Original Listing 2006 date.
