This Palmer Union Oil Company Stock Certificate was issued in 1928.  Founded in 1910 with oil wells in California's Santa Maria oil field, they eventually merged with several companies over time including the Taylor Wine Company.  The Taylor Wine Company eventually merged with Coca-Cola.  This Palmer Union Oil Company stock certificate is often associated with court case where the owner of one of these certificates sued Coca-Cola for over a million share of Coca-Cola.  They lost but nice try.
