This Roanoke Tractor & Equipment Corp stock certificate was issued in 1936 and is low certificate #23. It is signed by president Lon M. Rish. Incorporated in Roanoke, West Virginia in 1921.

The Roanoke Tractor & Equipment Corp was a subsidiary of the Bluefield Supply Company and operated a wholesale construction, industrial, and agricultural equipment and supply business in the Roanoke and Bluefield area. They owned fast trucks and railway outlets to ensure speedy delivery to the Pocahontas Coalfields.

Another subsidiary of the Bluefield Supply Company was the Clark Hardware & Furniture Company. The first store was founded by Lon M Rish would would become president of the chain in 1930 as well as Roanoke Tractor. Rish Hall, a women's dormitory , was named in his honor at the Bluefield College.

The Bluefield Supply Company was the largest business in the area engaged in the mill, mine and contractor supply.
