This Scott Paper Company Stock Certificate was issued in 1984. Founded in 1879 in Philadelphia by brothers E. Irvin and Clarence Scott.  They introduced Scott Brand tissue paper in 1000 sheet rolls in 1913 and it was actually considered to be a medical product at the time.  They had to do a marketing campaign to increase awareness of what toilet paper was actually to be used for.  They were the first to introduce paper napkins in the 1930s and by 1939 they held the best selling brand in the U.S. They were purchased by Kimberly-Clark in 1995.
