Description

The Stock Quotation Telegraph Company supplied stock ticker equipment and quotation services to brokers. They were located at 16 Broad Street in New York in the 1890s and held several offices elsewhere. They held multiple patents on Printing Telegraphs filed as late as 1930. William H. Hurst was president until he passed in 1929. His brick mansion, built in 1912, can still be seen today at Park Terrace East and West 215th Street in Inwood, NYC.

This very rare coin features the stock ticker on the front and "Compliments of the "General News Ticker" on the back along with a list of some of the data they provided. We can find no other examples of this coin from the Stock Quotation Telegraph Company.
