Description

This rare copy of The Chicago Stock Exchange: A History by Wallace Rice was printed in 1928. It provides 102 pages of history of the Chicago Stock Exchange. The book includes an introduction by Walter S. Brewster, the President of the exchange in 1923, a picture of the trading floor, and all the information you would want about the Exchange.

The Chicago Stock Exchange was founded in 1882 and merged with the St. Louis, Cleveland, and Minneapolis-St. Paul Exchanges in 1949 to form the Midwest Stock Exchange. They would become the largest of the regional exchanges. They would change their name back to the Chicago Stock Exchange in 1993. They are now known as NYSE Chicago.
