Founded in 1912 by George Whelan, the Tobacco Product Corporation was the holding company for the United Cigar Stores Company and it was used to buy independent tobacco companies. In 1919, they purchased a small company named Phillip Morris & Company the maker of Marlboro. The crash of 1929 tanked the Tobacco Products Corp and Phillip Morris was spun off to to another buyer. This beautiful stock certificate features workers in a tobacco field. Issued in 1920s-30s.
